Follow the steps below for a demonstration
of the CASI. Be sure to download a sample report at the end to
see an actual computer-generated narrative report.
Demographic and identifying information are
entered here, such as the client’s sex, date of birth, referral
source, and so on.
Family characteristics are entered to assess
functionality. The software automatically handles missing or
unavailable information.
Previous placement history (if any) and the
outcome of those placements are entered here, which are then
listed chronologically in the full report.
Behavioral characteristics are entered here,
which in the report will be automatically converted to useful
scales comparing the severity of the clients behavior
with that of other children in residential care.
Finally, very serious behaviors that may
impact treatment (such as running away) are listed here. Treatment
approaches with empirical evidence are then listed in the
report to aid a positive outcome.
The software then generates
an eight to twelve page narrative report compiling the results.
