Psychological Assessment Systems, Inc.
is in the process of developing a version of the CASI for children
referred to the foster homes. The Child and Adolescent Screening
Inventory for Foster Care (CASI-FC) is designed to identify foster
children from birth to age 19 who are at risk for more than two
placements within 12 months, consistent with federal outcomes and
accountability standards.
By identifying higher needs foster children, county placing agencies
would have the option of providing additional or specialized services
with the goal of stabilizing these children early in care and improving
performance and placement outcomes.
We are in the process of collecting and analyzing data on approximately
2000 children currently in foster care. For more information about
a release date for the CASI-FC or if your agency is potentially
willing to contribute data or beta test the software, please contact
us at (800) 913-4446.
