Psychological Assessment Systems, Inc. was founded by Paul A. Sunseri, Psy.D. with the goal of improving treatment outcomes for children and adolescents placed into residential treatment programs.

Prior to the development of the CASI, there did not exist a method to objectively assess the severity of a child’s presenting problems relative to those of other children in care, nor was there a way to determine which children were statistically more likely to experience multiple residential placements.

Our belief is that an adequate assessment at the time of referral is vital to reducing multiple placements and improving the quality of life for children and their families.
